Man and woman arrested after incident at popular Milton Keynes pub

A man and woman who are both 40 are in police custody following a disturbance at a pub.

Police were called to The Crooked Billet Pub in Newton Longville at 9.30pm yesterday after reports that a woman had been assaulted.

The woman in her twenties, attended hospital but has since been discharged.

Police say an investigation is ongoing and a man and a woman, both aged 40 and from Milton Keynes, were arrested on suspicion of assault.

A police spokesman said: "They remain in custody at this time. Anyone with information should call 101 quoting reference 43200242443."
