Milton Keynes records 65 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours

The rise is in line with what MK has witnessed over the last week with no new deaths

There were 65 positive Covid-19 tests in Milton Keynes in the latest government data released this evening. That brings the total number of positive tests in MK since the start of the pandemic to 2,535.

There were 21,350 positive tests across the UK and 194 deaths.

It comes after it was announced the Pfizer vaccine found to be 90 per cent effective and could begin to be distributed by the end of this month.

There were no new deaths in MK, with the total standing at 110.

Over 275,000 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours.

The UK's total number of deaths within 28 days of a positive Covid-19 test stands at 49,063.

The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate is now 60,051.
